As a member of the community of Lincoln Hall Residential College, I acknowledge that our community is built upon a foundation of intellectual, cultural, and social integrity, tolerance, and responsibility. Individual actions affect the entire community; therefore, I will work to uphold the community goals set forth in Lincoln Hall.
As a member of the Lincoln community, I will strive to
Fulfill my academic obligations;
Nurture my own ability to succeed academically, socially, and personally;
Be a responsible neighbor and community member;
Build trust with others and prove myself trustworthy;
Broaden my cultural, social, and intellectual horizons;
Demonstrate and promote tolerance of differences in cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, race, gender, age, ability, and personal viewpoint;
Respect the physical property of the residential college and its members and their personal rights;
Work toward fairness and justice for all members of the community;
Uphold the dignity and honor of all residents; and
Meet the core values of the College and act in a manner that reflects positively on the College and its community and on West Virginia University.
